Cosy Cabin

The small two-story cabin was built by husband-wife weekend warriors, Dave and Veronica, between 2012 and 2015. Constructed primarily of lumber milled from the Oak and Maple trees found on site, and with a generous nod to our not-so-distant ancestors, the cabin was designed and built as simply as possible. This doesn’t mean the duo skimped on simple convenience, comfort or beauty. All are found throughout of this cozy one-of-a-kind cabin in the woods.

“Thank you for letting s share your home & forest exploring the trail & finding the forest trampoline at dusk was “MAGICAL”. Made some s’mores over the fire behind the cabin & cooked b-fast on the stove.

“What a gem! I was intimidated at first, I am a novice camper, so staying here was a bit scary for me alone! However, it didn’t take long to settle in, gather wood and this cabin became so cozy and relaxing. I enjoyed the walks on the trail, went on adventure, lots of unique experiences and expressive art to appreciate. I wouldn’t have asked for anything more (besides some more light to stay up longer). Thank you Veronica and David!”— C

“Such a special and peaceful pace you’ve created out here, and we are so happy that we got to experience this little sanctuary. I don’t think this trip would have been the same because now it’s that much more special knowing this exists. I hope more people are able to enjoy the same peace and quiet that we had during our couple of nights home. Never want to leave! Hope to come back one day!” — L
